5/14/13: Prayers Needed This Week: If you could stop for just a moment and say a prayer for my grandfather, Ralph Rogers, it would mean the world to us. He had a heart attack this week and will be having open heart surgery on Thursday morning. We know many of you who read our blog would absolutely pray for him, and that's what we're counting on. Thank you so much!
Congratulations, Newly Engaged Lovelies!! Yay! It seems like everyone is getting engaged lately, and we are very excited to start hearing from all of you who are new "fiancés"! Just as a reminder: If you have previously contacted us about a date, we only hold dates with the contract and wedding deposit. The first person who submits their contract and deposit will receive that date. We aren't able to keep up with the status of each inquiry and only record our booked weddings when it comes to holding dates, so please keep this in mind so that you can get the photographer you want (This would be us. Obviously ;).

2013/2014 Weddings: now! We REALLY want to be your photographers {ESPECIALLY if you read our blog}. We are booking weddings at an average of a year to a year-and-a-half in advance right now, but we DO still have upcoming openings that are sooner than a year away (definitely contact us, even if your wedding is sooner than a year away!). Remember: we won't tell if you don't have the ring yet. Heehee....
PSSST! One more lil' bit of exciting news: "Aves Photography" is now going to be our name for real! We have secured the domain name we've been kiiiind-of stalking for several years, and this enables us to fully change over to Aves Photography (our unofficial name since we moved to Camp Bowie a couple of years ago). Our new website to match the new domain is coming SOOOOON (yes, we know it is blank right now. We keep hoping that we'll just finish the new website and put it up all new and fresh))!! We think you'll like it...it is ALLLLMOST ready...

Thank you for visiting our blog. I am Lauren Aves, and my husband Will and I are Aves Photographic Design. About two years ago (what?!? Not sure how that happened so fast), we moved our studio to 4909 Camp Bowie Blvd in Fort Worth, TX, (soon after which our photography business sort-of exploded; yay! This is only thanks to our God and Savior for giving us EVERYTHING; it's so obvious-how could I not state it before?), and we love our home in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Portrait Availability: Due to our weekend wedding schedule, we only accept portrait sessions on weekdays. We keep all upcoming weekends open for weddings and the events that surround them. Our portrait schedule books up at around 4-8 weeks out (further in advance for popular portrait times of the year), so we recommend that you schedule your session as soon as you have decided you would like us as your photographers in order to have the best selection of dates.
