If you are looking for good reception ideas, you’ll love these details. Tracy and Megan were “Maui-d” in December, and threw a huge bash in January at OW Ranch in Granbury as their reception. This place is amazing. If you’ve never heard of it, you should definitely check them out. Their landscaping is awesome, and the service is top-notch.
Here we got the first pictures of Megan and Tracy as newlyweds after coming back to the mainland. It was just a leeeettle colder here than Hawaii, I’m sure.
The guests were greeted by seashells and pictures of Hawaii from the wedding.
Here is what the reception looked like when we walked in. I am in LOVE with the light fixtures!
With Megan’s Mom Lucy being the owner of A Rose in Bloom and Weddings on the Boulevard, we knew that the details would be amazing. Here are some of my favorites. The super-hot white modern vases mixed with black branches stood out awesomely in front of the blue lighting. Loved it! Of course April of Princess Bride Productions played a HUGE part in the day’s success too. The lighting and entertainment were by ES Events. I can’t say how much I love lighting.
One more vendor. Under the Tower productions did the videography, and he brought his new Canon 5D Mark II. I got to play with it. New requirement for a good videographer: they must have one of these. I can’t WAIT to see the video.
If I’m starting to sound a little like a commercial, it is because good vendors are so important. They have been making all of the difference to our pictures and the outcome of a good wedding. Stepping down from my soapbox now, but that won’t stop me from sharing more good vendors further down.
Here is their coffee and hot chocolate station. It was one of the coldest days of winter so far, and the homeade marshmallows and yummy coffee syrup flavors were cute AND warmed up the guests.

Now for the food. We started with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres.
Then there were several creative food stations. Several different kinds of sliders were served at the bar.
Now my favorite. The sushi station.

Everyone crowded around during the first dance. I love how sweet and sincere their family and friends are toward them.
Maybe it’s because their love is contagious :)

It was such a great night for everyone.
